LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS AND RESCUE CENTERS RECEIVE OVER $72,000
FROM STATER BROS. MARKETS AND PEDIGREE ® FOOD FOR DOGS
SAN BERNARDINO – This generous donation comes at a time when more than 4 million pets each year find themselves in shelters and rescue centers. As a way to encourage pet-wellness and find homes for abandoned pets, Stater Bros. Markets and PEDIGREE ® Food for Dogs are proud to announce that over $72,000 have been raised for 14 local animal shelters. This donation is a result of a special in-store program in which a percentage of the sale of PEDIGREE ® Food for Dogs is donated to local animal shelters and rescue centers.
Jack H. Brown, Chairman and CEO of Stater Bros. Markets stated, “Animals have such an effect on people and do so much to enrich our lives. We are so proud to be able to give back to animals in need in our communities.” Stater Bros. Markets is one of the largest sellers of pet food in the United States and over the past two years, Stater Bros. Markets has donated over $106,000 to local pet shelters.
