STATER BROS. CHARITIES HOSTS SUMMER SPECTACULAR FOR PATIENTS AT
LOMA LINDA UNIVERSITY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AND DONATES $250,000 TOWARD THE CANCER UNIT
This donation was part of the annual Stater Bros. Charities / Kfroggers 4 Kids Radiothon
SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA – On Friday, July 24, at 1 p.m. Stater Bros. Charities, the new philanthropic arm of Stater Bros. Markets, will present $250,000 to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. This donation was part of the 7th Annual Stater Bros. Charities Kfroggers 4 Kids Radiothon presented by ConAgra Foods.
At this event, Stater Bros. Charities will also host the annual Stater Bros. Charities Summer Spectacular for the patients at the Children’s Hospital. Ice cream sundaes, popcorn, popsicles, and other treats will be distributed to the patients, and a feature film will be shown in the newest addition to the Children’s Hospital, the Stater Bros. Activity Center.
The Stater Bros. Activity Center was made possible through a partnership between Stater Bros. and Procter and Gamble. This movie theater themed room is bright and cheerful and includes colorful murals, a large retractable screen, and movie quality sound and projection equipment. Because of the risk of infection, going to public movie theaters is a pleasure many patients cannot enjoy. As a special bonus, patients are also able to view films not yet released to the general public.
WHAT: Jack H. Brown, Chairman and CEO of Stater Bros. Marketswill present $250,000 to Zareh Sarrafian, Administrator of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. This donation will be used to purchase much needed Cardiac Monitors and other equipment for the cancer unit.
