San Bernardino, California (September 22, 2020) – The Virtual Believe Walk, presented by Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer, is offering opportunities to win up to $3,250 in prizes through participation in a fitness challenge, contests, and registration for a live, Virtual Kick-Off event.
“These contests are a fun incentive to bring our community together in a positive way to raise awareness and excitement surrounding the Virtual Believe Walk. It’s also a way to say thank you for supporting our fundraising efforts that benefit programs and services at local cancer-fighting organizations,” said Nancy Negrette, Chairman and President Stater Bros. Charities. “Although we aren’t able to walk together this year, we can still come together in spirit and have fun while supporting this important cause,” Negrette continued.
The Strava 5K Challenge encourages participants to walk, run or ride a 5K (3.1 miles) and share their activity in the Strava Believe Walk Club on the Strava mobile app. Those that complete the challenge are entered to win a $250 Stater Bros. Markets gift card. Two lucky winners have already been selected and one more will be selected on October 5th.
A Best Believe Spirit contest and a Best Dressed Pet contest will provide the winner of each a $250 Stater Bros. Markets gift card. You can enter the Best Believe Spirit contest from September 16th through September 30th by submitting a photo of yourself in your best Believe Spirit attire. During the same time period, an uploaded photo of your pet in their best fun and festive attire will enter you into the Best Dressed Pet contest. Winners will be announced on October 4th during the live Virtual Believe Walk Kick-off event which will be livestreamed on Facebook @believewalk and BelieveIE.com.
In addition to the challenge and contests, if you register to view the live Virtual Kick-off event taking place on Sunday, October 4th at 9:00 a.m., you will be entered for a chance to win one of two $500 Stater Bros. Markets gift cards, or a $1000 Stater Bros. Markets gift card! The fun-filled event will include entertainment, raffle prizes, survivor stories, contest winners, and top fundraising teams/fundraisers recognition.
