Agreement Forms

Retail Management Certificate (RMC) Course Agreement

Terms of Agreement

    By enrolling in the Retail Management Certificate (RMC) program, I understand and agree to the following:

    1. Once enrolled, I must submit this RMC Course Agreement authorizing tuition payment via payroll check.
    2. Amount given via my payroll check will pay tuition for the enrolled RMC course.
    3. I must complete eight (8) qualifying courses to earn the RMC.
    4. Obtaining the RMC is not required as a condition of employment
    5. I must provide documentation showing a passing grade of “C” or better to education@staterbros.com within thirty (30) calendar days of the course end date. No exceptions are allowed.
    6. Course tuition repayment will be required if I voluntarily quit or if I am terminated from employment for misconduct prior to completing the class and/or complying with terms of this agreement.
    7. This agreement also serves as a Promissory Note authorizing repayment of all course tuition to Stater Bros. Markets if the above conditions are not met.  The repayment could be up to $1,104.00 (e.g., 8 classes, which are 3 units each, that cost $46.00 per unit).  Repayment will occur via automatic payroll check deduction, as allowed by applicable law.  If the final check deduction does not cover the repayment amount, the remainder will be due in thirty (30) days.
    8. Repayment amount will not exceed the cost to Stater Bros. Markets.
    9. Reimbursement for course book can be obtained from California Grocers Association Educational Foundation. The reimbursement application must be completed and submitted online at, Submit Reimbursement Application - CGA Educational Foundation. All reimbursement applications must be submitted within sixty (60) days from the last day of class.

Associate Degree Course Agreement

Terms of Agreement

    By enrolling in the Associate degree program, I understand and agree to the following:

    1. I have obtained my Retail Management Certificate.
    2. I have completed an education plan with an Academic Counselor at an approved Community College and submitted it to education@staterbros.com for approval.
    3. I understand that the course must be part of my Associate degree education plan.
    4. Once enrolled, I will submit the Associates Course Agreement for tuition via paycheck.
    5. Obtaining an Associate degree is not required as a condition of employment
    6. Tuition from my paycheck will pay for my enrolled course.
    7. I must provide documentation showing a passing grade of “C” or better to education@staterbros.com within thirty (30) calendar days of the course end date. No exceptions are allowed.
    8. I will remain employed with Stater Bros. Markets for the duration of this course.
    9. Course tuition repayment will be required if I voluntarily quit or if I am terminated from employment for misconduct prior to completing the class and/or complying with the terms of this Agreement.
    10. Repayment amount will not exceed the cost to Stater Bros. Markets.
    11. This agreement also serves as a Promissory Note, authorizing repayment of all course tuition to Stater Bros. Markets if the above conditions are not met. The repayment amount may be up to $1,932, based on the maximum number of units per course (e.g., course consists of up to 42 units, at a cost of $46.00 per unit). Repayment will occur through automatic payroll deduction, as allowed by applicable law. If my final paycheck does not fully cover the outstanding repayment amount, the remaining balance will be due in thirty (30) days and will remain due until paid in full.

Certificate Course Agreement

Terms of Agreement

    By enrolling in the Trade Certificate program, I understand and agree to the following:

    1. Once enrolled, submit Certificate Course Agreement for tuition via paycheck.
    2. Tuition from my paycheck will pay for my enrolled course.
    3. I understand that the course must be part of the Certificate Course Program.
    4. Obtaining a Trade Certificate is not required as a condition of employment
    5. I must provide documentation showing a passing grade of “C” or better to education@staterbros.com within thirty (30) calendar days of the course end date. No exceptions are allowed.
    6. I will remain employed with Stater Bros. Markets for the duration of this course.
    7. Course tuition repayment will be required if I voluntarily quit or if I am terminated from employment for misconduct prior to completing the class and/or complying with the terms of this Agreement.
